What you'll do
- Architect scalable backend systems handling 10K+ concurrent connections
- Design and implement real-time features using WebSockets and Server-Sent Events
- Lead technical design reviews and establish engineering standards
- Build observability infrastructure with structured logging and tracing
- Mentor mid-level engineers and drive engineering culture improvements
What we're looking for
- 5-8 years of backend engineering experience with Node.js/TypeScript
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, CAP theorem, and consistency models
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, and infrastructure as code
- Track record of designing systems that serve millions of users
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/ML API serving
- Published technical articles or conference talks
